Zipped drawings will need to be uncompressed or unzipped in order to use with Dimension.

1. Navigate to the folder containing your downloaded files. (If eTakeoff is your main project folder, click on your Desktop / eTakeoff Projects Folder / {designated project folder}.
2. If the folder contains file(s) ending with “.zip”, those files will need to be “unzipped or extracted”. A ZIP file contains one or more files that have been compressed to reduce file size. Files that end with “.zip” indicate they are compressed and will need to be uncompressed in order for eTakeoff to read the information in the original form.
3. You can usually extract the files from a zipped file just by double-clicking on it or right-clicking on a file and selecting “Extract”.
4. If that does not work, you will need a “zip” program to “unzip” the file. There are several popular tools on the internet that you can download to unzip files.
